Why We Love Hyatt Regency Lost Pines for Our Family Vacations
When it comes to planning a family vacation, finding a destination that caters to both adults and kids can be a challenge. Luckily, the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa, just outside of Austin, TX, ticks all the boxes. Nestled along the banks of the Colorado River, this resort offers an abundance of activities and amenities that keep us coming back multiple times per year. Here’s why we love it so much:
Lazy River Bliss
My absolute favorite part of our stays at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines is the lazy river. There’s nothing quite like floating leisurely under the Texas sun, letting all the stresses of daily life melt away. The kids love it too, and it’s a fantastic way for the whole family to relax together. The winding river, shaded by trees and accompanied by the sounds of nature, is pure bliss.
Evening S’mores Tradition
One of the highlights of our evenings at Lost Pines is gathering around the fire pits for s’mores. This nightly tradition is something we all look forward to. There’s something magical about roasting marshmallows under the stars, surrounded by the warmth of a crackling fire. It’s the perfect way to end the day and create lasting family memories.
Fun-Filled Kids Activities
Hyatt Regency Lost Pines offers a plethora of kids activities throughout the day. From arts and crafts to scavenger hunts, the kids are never bored. The resort’s activity coordinators are fantastic, always engaging and full of energy. The farm petting zoo is a hit with our little ones, giving them a chance to interact with friendly animals. They moved this petting Zoo to a new location, but it is a pretty walk to get there. Plus, the playground on site is a great spot for the kids to burn off some extra energy.
Movies on the Lawn
As the sun sets, we love to gather on the lawn for movie nights. Watching family-friendly films under the open sky is a unique and delightful experience. It’s moments like these that make our stays so memorable. They have a new restaurant just outside the lobby under the big tree that we really enjoyed, as well.
Free Bike Rentals
Exploring the expansive grounds of the resort is easy and fun with the free bike rentals available. It’s a great way to stay active and explore the area together as a family. The hotel is right next door to a State Park.
Equestrian Adventures
For those looking for more adventure, the Renegade Stables on site offer pony rides and trail rides. We always pay extra for the pony rides, and this year, my son and I were finally old enough to join the trail ride. It was an incredible experience, riding through the scenic trails and connecting with nature. The staff at the stables are friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience even more enjoyable.
Luxurious Perks with Points
Staying at the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines on points is a fantastic deal. At 25,000 Hyatt points per night, it’s an affordable way to enjoy a luxurious vacation. As Globalist members, we often receive room upgrades (when available), free valet parking, and complimentary breakfast. These perks make our stays even more enjoyable and add to the overall value of our vacations.
Golfing and More
While we’re not golfers, we appreciate the beautiful golf course on site. For those who do enjoy golfing, it’s a great addition to the resort’s amenities. The lush greens and well-maintained course offer a picturesque setting for a round of golf.
In conclusion, the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Resort and Spa is our go-to destination for family vacations. With its lazy river, nightly s’mores, kids activities, petting zoo, outdoor movies, playground, free bike rentals, and equestrian adventures, there’s something for everyone. The luxurious perks we receive as Globalist members and the ability to stay on points make it an unbeatable choice. If you’re looking for a family-friendly resort near Austin, TX, we highly recommend Hyatt Regency Lost Pines. It’s a place where memories are made, and we can’t wait for our next visit!
