Pros of New Southwest Airlines Personal Credit Card Offer

The current offer is pretty cool, because you can earn a year long companion pass for just hitting the sign-up bonus on one personal card.  The companion pass is where whenever you fly, someone can fly with you for just the price of taxes and fees.  Typically $11.20 domestically for your companion’s round trip ticket.

This is great for people who don’t have a business and don’t want to open business cards.

Cons of New Southwest Airlines Personal Credit Card Offer

The downside is the companion pass is for only one year, where when you time the 125,000 point offer, it can be good for almost two years.  The other downside is it is a higher spend $5,000 in 3 months, and you only earn 30,000 points instead of the 125,000 + points to use towards travel.

As someone who has only flown Southwest the past 5 years, I think this is a great offer.  I love Southwest for free checked and carry on bags, family boarding, affordable prices.
